Welcome
I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in December, 2001 from Nanjing University, China. My Ph.D. advisors were Professor Li Xie and Professor Zhongxiu Sun. Before I became an assistant professor in 2004, I had been a postdoctoral research associate at Professor Peng Liu's Cyber Security Lab at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park.
I have 20+ years of experience in U.S. higher education. I have led computer science, information technology, data science, and cybersecurity programs as department chair, inaugural chair, endowed chair professor, cybersecurity center director, program director, and in other leadership roles. I serve as a program evaluator, reviewer, and mentor for ABET and NSA/DHS CAE programs. The full CV can be downloaded here.
My research interests include computer systems, security, and AI.
I am currently working on AI Music and Music Intellectual Property (IP) protection, more specifically, piano accompaniment generation. Projects and demos will be added soon. Come back frequently to check the updates.
